Etsy is now one of the biggest online e-commerce platforms. It has never been a better time to start a business selling Etsy printables.
This is a low cost passive income business that anyone can start.
As an accountant I have zero artistic abilities, and I had no problems starting a successful Etsy printables business.

I sell digital products over at Your Frugal Friend on Etsy.

How I Learned About Selling Etsy Printables
I started selling Etsy printables in July of 2019. After searching on Pinterest in June of 2019 for a rotating meal planner, I stumbled across someone’s Etsy shop selling just that.
My mind was blown! I couldn’t believe that someone was making money on this product. I knew that I could make printables as well, but I didn’t know where to begin.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and I received an email about a printables class that would teach you how to make and sell printables on Etsy. As a frugal person, I hesitated about paying to take a class.
I had always wanted to start a passive income business, but didn’t want to put in the cash needed to do businesses such as real estate.
This was a small enough cash investment, that I knew I felt comfortable taking the leap. I started the class that day and never looked back!
After reviewing the curriculum, I knew that I had to do it. I had a vision and the class could make it happen. The class taught me how to make my printables with free platforms such as Canva.
Canva is Photoshop for people who aren’t graphic designers. The class taught me how to use Canva in bite sized pieces. I was able to create my first printable the day I reviewed the course videos!
Going through the class eliminated the learning curve that I would have faced if I taught myself how to make printables.
This helped me to reach 1,000 sales and $1,500 in revenue last month more quickly than if I had tackled this business idea on my own.
My Etsy Revenue Growth
I went from a revenue low of $3.00 in July 2019 to $1,539.23 in August 2020.
This success can be attributed to the class I took and the printables coaching community that accompanies the class.

Through what I learned with the coursework and coaching program, I would add to my product line and add to my knowledge each month.
I have used everything I learned in my business. The printable coaching community helps you to identify current trends and encourages you to keep pushing yourself!
When I started my shop, I first focused on identifying who my dream customer was and how I could help them.
If you first start with solving a problem, then the product creates itself.
After I identified who my dream customer was, and how I could help them, I began to create my flagship product line.
By doing this, I was able to think of the bigger picture, but create products one by one.
I wanted to create a system, and each product solved a particular problem in my dream customer’s life.

There are ups and downs with any business. Over the last year, I took every hard moment that came my way to use as an opportunity to rethink how I approached my business.
Not giving up helped me to reach all of my revenue goals.
2020 Revenue Update

I ended 2020 having earned $18,894.74 with my Etsy side hustle.
For a passive income business, that is a HUGE amount of extra cash. I put it all towards our new home down payment. We reached our savings goal six months early because of my Etsy business.
I have my sights set high for 2021!
